"Hi, I'm Plenty...Plenty O'Toole!" "Named after your father perhaps." With those words, Lana Wood entered Bond Girl infamy, adding her character to the likes of Pussy Galore, Holly Goodhead, Octopussy and others with provocative names. Universal Exports' first chat with a Bond Girl features the beautiful Lana Wood talking about her experience in the Bond series.

Lana Wood and Sean Connery on the set
Does your James Bond film encounter, rank as your most memorable cinematic experience?
Most memorable film experience? No, it was a role I liked least of all the ones I had already played. But, the film experience was a delightful one.

How did you get along with the cast and crew, especially Sean Connery?
Sean and I knew each other, I had dinner with him and his then wife, Diane Cilento, several years before. He instantly came to my rescue at the hotel lobby, as I had my finger stuck in the cats' carrier cage and my suite wasn't ready. He suggested I use his. I did, and shortly thereafter [we] began to "date." We had a great time in Las Vegas, taking in dinners and shows after work.

What was your relationship like both producers, Harry Saltzman and Cubby Broccoli?
I still have never met Harry Saltzman, and was told he is quite unpleasant, but [I] adored Cubby.

Speaking of the producers, have you stayed in contact with the Broccoli family? (ie. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli)

How familiar were you with the original Fleming novels; in particular, Diamonds Are Forever?
I was familiar with Ian Fleming's works and had read them all as teen. I had always been a book worm and suspense/thrillers or adventures are a favorite.

Plenty returns to the suite after being thrown out a window

What was it like to meet Sean Connery?
I am still in touch with Sean.

What were your initial thoughts on finding that your character's name was Plenty O' Toole?
I was first asked to play the role of Tiffany, and said yes, but a few weeks later I was called and asked if I would consider accepting the role of Plenty instead. Of course it was fine with me.

What have you been up to recently…any upcoming film projects?
I just produced a three hour special event film for ABC titled The Mystery Of Natalie Wood. I have [also] been producing films for TV and writing.
